Spirit of the Old Tree

“In the old oak tree, there resides a spirit.”

Monochrome ink on silk.

I have not been able to track down any source for this quote. This was a highly damaged long skinny scroll that I remounted using fabric from an old obi with a pattern of oak leaves. The finials are sections of plum branches with the bark still attached.
